The Way Forward
-
We must return to the teaching of Islam
Surah AL-A’raf :76

If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah We should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth) and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.
-
Islam emphasizes the importance of knowledge and education as expressed in the first Qur’anic verse revealed – seek knowledge in the name of Allah
Surah AL-Alaq :1

Proclaim! (or Read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher Who created
-
Seek wisdom wherever you can find it. Seek it, and act upon it so that you and the ummah may benefit.
Prophet have said;

“Wisdom is like a precious commodity that is lost. A believer must always be in search of it. Wherever he finds it, he must act upon what it dictates.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi)
-
Enjoinment of Waqf/Endowment for R&D and education
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing
