ALAM DIJADIKAN GURU: MENGGEMBELING USAHA KELESTARIAN, MENSERASIKAN PRINSIP KETAUHIDAN

Abstract

Rapid development in science, technology and industry which solely emphasizes on
economic and worldly point of view has triggered various side effects. This is visible from the
various phenomena such as unpredictable disasters arising from climatic changes, global
warming and pollution amongst others. These do not only affect humans but also other living
creatures and habitats which grace this earth. In actual fact, all living things on earth are in
mutual need of each other. This paper is written with the hope that this urgent realization may be
felt by all scientists, Muslims and beyond, so much so that certain steps in conservation and
sustainability may be undertaken to solve some of the problems. Amongst other efforts would be
to relate all future development and progress in accordance with the examples shown by Our
Greatest Creator. In addition, how far, each of the innovative efforts which are ultimately
intended to benefit human’s livelihood and comfort, should be based upon and be made with
regards to God’s other creations in nature at large. These natural phenomena could and should be made as a guideline and source of inspiration. As an effort towards the realisation of this
objective, a research project known as Drosobots is also mentioned in this paper.
