Abstract

Balanced diet is a food guide that provides good nutritions needed for human body to maintain
healthy life. Most of the countries have their own diet plan, for instance My Plate (United
State), The Australian Guide to Healty Eating (Australia), Eat Well Plate Model (United
Kingdom), Plate Model and Triangle Model (Finland) as well as Eating Well with Canada's
Food Guide (Canada). In fact, Islam also has introduced its diet plan based on the concept of
Halalan Toyyiba. This diet plan encourage to consume halal foods, hygienic sources of food,
nutritious foods as well as the right methods of consumption. In order to clarify, this article
introduces the model of Halalan Toyyiba diet plan as well as compares it with conventional diet
plan. The findings of comparation shows that the conventional diet plan concerns on types of
food group as well the ideal quantity intake from each group. Otherwise, Halalan Toyyiba diet
plan is more flexible which it does not determines types of food group, but only encourages to
comsume all types of food moderately. Besides, the Halalan Toyyiba diet concept also
highlights on halal aspects, hygiene of its sources as well as the right methods of consumption.
